Chelmsford's Role in Exploring the Solar System

Speaker: Dr Paul Jerram (Chief Engineer, Image Sensors, e2v)

Paul will discuss how e2v in Chelmsford has provided sensors that have changed our view of the solar system. These have produced the dramatic images from recent high profile missions such as New Horizons, which recently gave the first ever detailed pictures of Pluto. The talk will include the demands of designing, manufacturing and qualifying image sensors for space application and some of the new discoveries that have recently been made using e2v sensors.
