Since their foundation in 1992 Cottrell and Vermuelen Architecture has forged an ever growing reputation for innovative, colourful and sustainable design. From primary schools with no green spaces to the historic grounds of Brentwood School and Cambridge University, from churches to exhibitions and everything between, CVA have brought their experience and imagination to produce award winning buildings that will stand the test of time.

When space is at a premium imaginative design is imperative to make the most of what is available. In this talk Richard will show us examples of working with "infill sites" in Southwark and elsewhere. He will talk about the processes, from consultation to delivery, on projects as diverse as boatyards, community housing and schools and tell us what works and what doesn't.
