The National Grid System Operator's main role is to ensure the lights stay on by balancing generation and demand while maintaining system reliability and efficiency. Connection of renewables, closures of traditional power plants and change in demand behaviours are bringing challenges to operate a network fit for the future. This talk will provide a high-level insight into these issues.
Refreshments will be available before the talk from 18:00.
