It's back! Café Scientifique

The art and science of working with glass: Tue 21 Feb 2017, Anglia Ruskin Students' Union Bar

We are very pleased to announce the return of our Café Scientifique series of informal speaker-led discussions.

For the price of a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, anyone can come to explore the latest ideas in science and technology.

Following the success of our well-attended New Year's Curry, our social calendar is continuing to grow for 2017 and February's event will be a Café Scientifique session on glass working. The union bar will be open throughout the event, serving drinks and snacks.

Visit the event page for details and to book for FREE online.

Our Essex-based speaker, Colin Reynolds (Lead Systems Engineer at Leonardo), has been experimenting with glass making at home and, following a very well-received exhibition of his work at Leonardo, will be sharing his experiences (good and bad!) and the results with members and guests of the society. The event is open to the general public.

We do hope you'll be able to attend what promises to be a most interesting and entertaining evening. See our events pages for more details.
