The Role of the Wireless in the Titanic Tragedy

A talk by Tim Maltin

Part of Building the Wireless Age, a unique Marconi exhibition

At the original Marconi Wireless and Telegraphy works in Hall Street Chelmsford,
the world's first wireless factory which Marconi established in 1898.

Speaker Tim Maltin, Titanic historian, author and broadcaster, will speak on the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.

He will reveal what Titanic's officers knew about wireless, the truth about how the Carpathia heard the news, and the unexpected and counterintuitive role that wireless played in the Californian incident.
