Would you like to be more involved with the society? If so, we'd love to have you on board.

We will post opportunities to volunteer for Chelmsford Science and Engineering Society and partner organisations here.

If any of these interests you, or if you'd like to volunteer your time generally, please get in touch. We could always do with more help!

Any time spent volunteering counts as Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

CSES seeks video editor

CSES seeks video editor

As you may be aware, Chelmsford Science and Engineering Society (CSES) offers videos of its talks and some other events to members via the website.

Unfortunately, we have a huge backlog of videos from past events still to be published as we (the Committee) currently don't have sufficient capacity to work through them!

We are looking for a video editor (or team of editors) who would enjoy:

  • Creating standard title and closing graphics (idents).
  • Editing videos as required and preparing them for upload.
  • Bringing creative ideas to the process such as incorporation of speakers' slides where available.
  • Anything else that you can think of, such as filming events in the future.

The anticipated time commitment would be perhaps a 1-2 hour meeting every month, although this can be varied according to the needs of the team and the mentor's availability. You would also be welcome to attend the final, which is normally at a weekend.
